Songs on 'The Rejection Years' are hard driving and catchy with a pop edge thrown in. Not dissimilar to bands like SNFU, DOA and the later sounding albums of the CIRCLE JERKS. The Sorry Dogs have had a long history in the So. Cal punk scene. Befor the Punk revival took hold in the 90’s, Travis Davidson-(bass) was pounding his 4 string axe with one of Hardcore’s all time greatest bands- BATTALION OF SAINTS. He even wrote two of their best songs, “My Mind’s Diseased” and “Second Coming” back in 1982.

Baggs- (vocals, guitar) was abducted at the green age of 15, in 1985, by an east coast hardcore thrash act called FEAR ITSELF. After opening for legendary punk bands like DRI, DOA, and LUDICHRIST, he appeared on his first record “Til Death Do Us Part,” released by the German thrash label WE BITE Records. Returning to the west coast in 1987, Baggs met up with childhood friend Joe Bortfeld- (drummer) and put together the Skid Marks, a San Diego skate punk act. All three would later converge to form SORRY DOGS.

The SORRY DOGS deput LP, ‘No Dogs Aloud’. Was released by the band shortly after they broke up and was pressed in an incredibly small run of 500 copies. Those copies sols out instantly and is currently rapid KBD collectable of all followers of the So. Cal punk scene. That LP has been out of print for years, and “The Rejection Years” LP contains 10 of the best tracks from ‘No Dogs Aloud’ completely remixed and remastered The LP is packaged in a really cool looking full color jacket with silver foil imprint of the band. LP released by Under the Underground Records, 2007.
