Take Warning is a Melodic Punk/Hardcore band from Santa Cruz, CA. Their sound draws from a vast array of punk sub-genres from pop punk bands like The Ramones to heavy hitting stage leveling hardcore bands like Terror. The vocals stay melodic, ever-changing and in your face, capturing your spirit through every punk soundscape the band moves through. The most common band Take Warning is said to sound like is Ignite, or Strung Out. TW prefers to state that they pull ideas from these bands, but mostly from bands like Lagwagon, Dag Nasty, Fury66, Samiam, Comeback Kid, Lifetime, Terror, Minor Threat, Cro-Mags, Bouncing Souls, Gorilla Biscuits, and Good Riddance. In a time when its hard to listen to a record all the way through without feeling like you're listening to the same song over and over, Take Warning will clear the path, tearing down all boundaries to set a new standard in writing and performing as a punk band. These kids set out to do something original while paying tribute to all who came before them.
