Debut album by Chico, CA quartet featuring brothers Cameron and Nolan Ford on documenting their quest to destroy people with flawless live performances. The audience can only guess what spastic, unprovoked, and even violent stage antics will follow suit. John Wold keeps the bands driving beat (bass), along with Billy DiBono (drums), who also throws down tempo changes. Branching from the same tree as The Brilliant Red Lights and Tera Melos, The Secret Stolen makes sure to leave no silence for listeners to sink into, constantly transitioning into odd time signatures while keeping things on the surface easy to absorb. Heavy bass drives each track along with vocals ranging anywhere from sweet singing to blood curling screams similar to bands such as The Used, Fall of Troy and The Honor System. Analog in design, the recording stands as an independent masterpiece, fully produced by the band in collaboration with Engineer Jeff Schneeweis (engineer for Brighten' "King vs. Queen") Look out for upcoming tours in California Winter '06 with bands such as The Swims, Tera Melos, La Fin Du Monde, & O!
